Land and Property
When auctioning land and property we work closely with the vendor’s solicitor beforehand as part of the process.

Selling by auction does have the advantage of having contracts exchanged at the time of the auction (providing the reserve price is reached or exceeded) and is often most appropriate where one is dealing with land or property which can be expected to generate a keen level of demand.

Sales

Private treaty/tender
More often than not land and property is sold by private treaty or tender rather than auction, thereby preserving confidentiality. Similar close liaison with the client’s solicitor takes place to try and ensure sales progress as smoothly as possible.

Agricultural Lettings

We arrange lettings of agricultural land and property, usually by means of a Farm Business Tenancy (FBT) which we are able to prepare ourselves.

Since 1995, when FBTs were introduced, landowners have more flexibility with lettings than previously and we are able to advise accordingly.
